Christmas Coffee Morning🎅

We were delighted to host a heartwarming Christmas coffee morning at our office! The event was filled with festive cheer, delicious treats, and a wonderful sense of community.

Highlights of the Day:

  • Carol Singing: Talented young singers from Sacred Heart College filled the air with beautiful Christmas carols, spreading joy and holiday spirit.
  • BBC Interview: We were thrilled to be featured in a BBC interview, sharing the important work of our support group and the impact it has on the lives of refugees.
  • Raffle: We held a fun raffle with fantastic prizes, generously donated by local volunteers.
  • Festive Treats and Music: Guests enjoyed a variety of delicious festive treats, including cakes and hot drinks. The event was accompanied by cheerful Christmas music.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, volunteered, and contributed to the success of this event. Your support means the world to us and the refugees we support.

Let’s keep the festive spirit alive!

We’re already looking forward to our next event. Stay tuned for more updates and opportunities to get involved.

Refugee Week Competition

This year the theme for refugee week is ‘Our Home’ and this has many different meanings when you are a displaced person.  Is it your original home, your new home, of is it a sight, sound or taste that reminds you of somewhere you identify as home?  We would like you to invite those with refugee backgrounds to participate in our photo competition.  Capture a photograph that represents your interpretation of ‘home’ and include a line or two why you think so.

Three prizes will be awarded: 1st £300/ 2nd £100/  3rd £50

Submission details:

The deadline for submission is 21st June 2024 @ 5pm.
