A memorable evening at Hillsborough Castle

ERANO was honoured to be part of the reception for the Honorary Consul of Ukraine. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the Ukrainian community and discuss the vital work of refugee support.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland for their support and commitment to helping those in need.

ERANO’s Diwali Night

Erano would like to thank everyone who turned up last night to help make our Diwali celebrations a great success. We were amazed that so many came along from all different nationalities. When we all stand together it sends out such a positive message that this district is home, whether temporary or permanent, and we all have a part to play in creating a diverse and active society.
A huge thank you to the wonderful entertainers, the volunteers, and Rekha for preparing the tasty Indian food and to all the guests that helped make the event. A massive thank you to Radius Housing for funding the evening.
Keep up to date with our socials for other upcoming events.

Winter Coat Giveaway

Need a new winter coat? Drop into the ERANO office this Monday and Tuesday and see what we have on display. The Filipino community had a very successful Saturday morning at the ERANO office distributing coats as part of the Winter Coat Giveaway and there are still some available. The community also ran their last Tambayan sa (food market) for this year.

Meeting the Honorary Consul for Ukraine

Ukrainians from across the FODC area and further afield meet with Mr Alan Moore, Honorary Council for Ukraine at a very successful get together organised by ERANO this evening.
Also in attendance were the chairman of FODC Mr John Claughery, Council officials, and chair and staff from Ukrainians in Northern Ireland.
The event afforded those living in the district to put forward their concerns and hopes for the future to Mr Moore. A one minute silence was called to remember all those that have lost their lives in the ongoing war.
Aside from the sombre and practical aspects of the evening there was an opportunity for the Ukrainian community to mix and mingle. A beautiful exhibition of Ukrainian artefacts was on displace, and guests were treated to authentic Ukrainian food and music.
ERANO would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for attending and a special word of thanks to all the volunteers who created such a special and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.  Thanks to FODC for funding this event.

End Of Summer Party

ERANO’s multicultural Fun Day at Enniskillen Castle wrapped up our summer schedule today. A big thank you to all the people that came along and made the day a success and full of fun for the children. Now looking forward to autumn and our new programme of events. Stay Tuned!

Belfast Anti-Racism Protest

On Saturday, we joined 15,000 others to stand against the devastating racial attacks happening in Belfast and around the world.

Racism and Islamophobia is an urgent crisis that we are committed to combating to ensure our community is safe for everyone.

The xenophobic events in the past weeks have highlighted the importance of community resilience and the power of collective action in stopping the spread of hate and division.

Filipino Festival

A Day of Fun and Flavour at the Filipino Festival

Last weekend, I had the incredible opportunity to immerse myself in the vibrant culture of the Philippines at the local Filipino Festival. From mouth-watering cuisine to energetic performances, the event was a delightful celebration of Filipino heritage.

The festival was a showcase of colours, sounds, and energy. Traditional Filipino dances captivated the audience with their grace and precision. The rhythmic beats of the music had everyone tapping their feet and swaying to the rhythm.

One of the highlights of the festival was the sense of community and camaraderie among the attendees. People from all walks of life came together to celebrate and appreciate Filipino culture. It was truly inspiring to witness the enthusiasm and pride of the Filipino community.

A happy Saturday supporting our Filippino community celebrate their national day. A big shout out to Anna and her committee for putting on a great show and to everyone who turned up to create that special Filipino atmosphere.

Omagh Uniform Exchange

The ERANO office is an official drop off point for anyone wishing to
hand over unforms to the Omagh Uniform Exchange programme. If your child has outgrown their unform drop it off and we will take it to the Omagh Uniform Exchange site. This is a fantastic programme that helps parents cut the cost of buying new uniforms each year. EVERYONE with a school age child is encouraged to go along and pick up uniforms from all local schools in the area. There is no cost for this service.
